The beginning of her healing journey started with massage school. From the beginning, she had an appetite to learn more techniques and approaches. After many years of giving bodywork she fell in love with Pilates after experiencing the effectiveness of controlled movement and it’s healing abilities. Particularly on her back pain. Pilates complimented the hands on Bodywork adding a movement element. Always active and finding new parts of the puzzle to heal herself and others, a consistent yoga practice was always a part of her early healing journey but since she found the Kaiut Method she has never looked back. She found its effects on the nervous system and ease of chronic pain awe inspiring. When Sheena is not in the office, studio, or a zoom meeting she can be found riding her mountain bike, hiking, or making art.
“Sheena’s master healing and integrative bodywork approach has been transformative for me over the last 2 years since I stopped intense global travel. In combination, Pilates, Kaiut Yoga and massage have deeply strengthened me so that I can sustain a rigorous global virtual work schedule. Recently I even skied 20,000 vertical feet on one day with stronger than every legs and core!! Sheena is a wizard at leveraging her depth and breadth of knowledge and experience in a tailored approach for the individual. I can highly recommend Sheena!” -Rae K

Bonnie received her Kaiut Yoga Instructor training certification in August of 2022 and
started teaching at Cultivated Healing in April 2024. She passionately believes that physical mobility and changing our responses to the various patterns that we develop in our life is possible. She shares that, “It happens with an open mind, desire to improve one’s physical and emotional health, and a strong devotion to practice this declaration to change.”
The Kaiut Method and its benefits have been plentiful for Bonnie. This method introduced her to a unique new way of looking at painful symptoms in the body. Instead of dismissing the pain by using topical or oral painkillers to numb her body or brain, she used the unique postures to slowly and patiently work ‘with and through’ the pain she was experiencing and healed a very severe groin and psoas muscle injury making it stronger and without surgery!
During her own regular practice, she noticed that she was learning to move and speak slower, and to listen more mindfully to others and herself. She developed a strong meditation practice OFF THE MAT because of the slow meditative postures ON THE MAT!
When she is not teaching at the Studio, she enjoys The Art of Photography, Aesthetic Design, ranging from Home Décor, Personal Styling, Home and Wardrobe enhancements.
