Yoga

Yoga at Cultivated Healing

Yoga at Cultivated Healing is used to promote deep relaxation and healing by activating the body's parasympathetic nervous system — the "rest and digest" mode. Unlike more active yoga styles, this yoga involves gentle poses held for extended periods. These poses are typically supported by props such as  bolsters, blankets, straps and blocks.

The Intention:

  • Stress relief and relaxation: Helps calm the nervous system and reduce anxiety, fatigue, and the feeling of being overwhelmed.

  • Physical recovery: Supports the body's natural healing processes — ideal for those recovering from injury, illness, or intense physical activity.

  • Improved sleep quality: Deeply restful practice that can help reset sleep patterns and improve insomnia.

  • Emotional release: Provides a safe, still space for emotions to surface and be processed gently.

  • Mind-body connection: Enhances awareness of breath, body, and present moment, cultivating mindfulness and inner calm.

This yoga is accessible for all levels and is especially beneficial for people dealing with chronic stress, burnout, trauma recovery, or physical limitations. It emphasizes being rather than doing — making space for stillness, softness, and letting go.

 First class is free.
